Ingredients for Lemongrass Turkey Recipe
700-800 g turkey breast meat
1 stalk lemongrass
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 cloves of garlic (finely grated)
5 shallots (peeled and finely chopped)
1 piece of ginger (walnut sized and finely grated)
1 hot red pepper
1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 cup chicken stock (Hot)
2 spring onions (finely chopped)
Sea salt (freshly ground)
Black Pepper (freshly ground)
How to Make a Lemongrass Turkey?
After removing the thick outer skin of the lemongrass, finely chop the remaining part. Thus, you will have obtained 1 tablespoon of finely chopped lemongrass.
Chop the turkey breast meat into cubes. Add salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, soy sauce and hot sauce and mix.
Put a deep wok pan on the stove and let it heat well over medium heat. Add the chopped shallot, garlic, and ginger along with the olive oil. Cook for a few minutes stirring constantly.
Add the turkey meat mixture and sugar. Continue mixing for another 3-4 minutes. After adding the chicken broth, fry for 10 more minutes on high heat and remove from the stove. Add the fresh onion, mix and serve hot.
